Resumen
This article analyzes an experience carried out through interdisciplinary pedagogical activities in a State School in the city of Ribeirão das Neves, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, seeking to demonstrate that the image can be used as a central element of the class in investigative approaches, being a valuable one educational tool not only in an illustrative way, but as a source of teaching. The study showed that images are important for observation in the field of science, fundamental for the construction of knowledge, and that, their use in the school environment, helps students in the critical reading of the figures that reach them daily in the various media.
