Resumen
The article reflects the strategies of repositioning of the peasantry of the north of Minas Gerais in the context of modernity which inserted the Brazilian cerrado (savanna) in the global commodity circuit and which has brought about profound changes in the environment, in the economy and in the lives of people living everywhere on the planet. Analyzes the diversity and ecosystem where cultural cerrados predominate, and the contribution of traditional communities as the bearer of cultural and economic character of non-western and non-capitalist.Even with the huge tensions caused by followed the developmental waves on the savannahs of the northern sertão mineiro, intelligences associated with territorialities of these communities were engaged. In the case of economic circuits or in the case of rights to remain in place, socio-technical networks inserted in territorial relations were promoted as a counterpoint to the land, sanitary, fiscal and environmental regulations produced to structure capitalist-based enterprises in the region. Avoiding the suffocation and the complete subordination of the place the logic that underpins globalization.
