Imagens do negro no futebol brasileiro

Abstract

Our contribution aims to build a brief overview of images of the Negro in Brazilian football. While discursive constructs such images recorded not only representation modes of the Negro, as well as moments of football history and social conformation in the country. We will take based on several sources, from photographs, player reports, essays, poems and song lyrics, following an analytical method that allows us to reflect on the images on their discursive character. Therefore, we will discuss issues such as memory, history, national identity and racism. Our interest lies especially in images containing certain messages that crystallized not only in the imagination, but also in many narratives that sought to account for this phenomenon so significant for society and the country, that is football.
