Resumen
In view of the importance of interrupting the cycle of transmission of infections in the Intensive Care Unit, a concern with interference from a potentially contaminated environment and consequently as appropriate decontamination measures for inanimate surfaces and equipment in the background require the rigorous attention of the nurse that Each Material materials management and the management of the flows of items used, as well as an orientation on a correct way of using them. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of contamination of materials used in these non-invasive or related tasks, the Intensive Care Unit in particular, the stethoscope and the computer keyboard. It is an integrated review of the literature from the search and selection of scientific studies in electronic databases. Two studies were selected that correspond to the pre-established inclusion criteria. Scientific articles indexed to the Nursing Database (BDENF) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) were consulted between January and March 2017 through the Regional Portal of the Virtual Library Of Health (VHL). The high prevalence of contamination of the materials, when not undergoing adequate cleaning and disinfection processes serve as reservoirs to multiresistant microorganisms and consequently can be disseminated in the environment, mainly through the hands of the workers who manipulate as much equipment as the colonized patients E / Or immunodepressed.
