Resumen
The Child Health Handbook (CHH) is a tool of great relevance in the surveillance process of the neuropsychomotor development (ND) of children to identify possible symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as developmental delays. This study aims to identify how the CHH Neuropsychomotor Development item was filled in for children born after 2006 who are diagnosed with ASD. As a methodology, images of photos were collected from the pages of the CHH in which the tables with the milestones of the development of children born after disclosure on the social networks Instagram and WhatsApp were collected and parents/caregivers were asked to send the documents of children with diagnosis and diagnostic hypothesis of autism. Of the 69 files received, 12 are from girls and 53 from boys. Of the girls' booklets, only one, who was born in 2020, was registered in the area of ND milestones until the 18th
month. Of all the boys' notebooks, only 10 received records. This study identified that the CHH as a monitoring tool has not been used with the complete proposal for which it is intended, given that the ND item is practically not completed by the health teams and, when it is done, it is incomplete and discontinued.
