This research work as a study tool allows to understand the history of Bucaramanga from the urban transformations and the decisions taken regarding what is thought, done, and executed, demonstrating a deterioration of the green spaces of the city, as is the case of Luna Park, which existed at the beginning of the twentieth century in the city. The project aims to show a comparison of the Luna Park in the American continent between 1903 and 1931, to identify the physical-spatial characteristics and design principles of these and their appropriation in the city of Bucaramanga from an urban poetics. For this, a methodology consisting of four phases is generated: the first is the elaboration of a timeline that includes the historical events at world level of the Luna Park and the extraction of a sample located in the American continent; the second phase is the study of the design principles from the books: Landscape Architecture by Javier Perez Igualada and the Principles of Landscape Ecology by Richard Forman, in order to compare the parks in the American continent in the period of study and understand the design characteristics applied to the Luna Park of Bucaramanga, to, with this, The third phase contextualizes the implementation of Luna Park at the national level in the cities of Bogotá and Bucaramanga, and its creation based on an analysis of the urban history of the city. Finally, in the fourth phase, the park is analyzed based on the historical, physical-spatial, and environmental dimensions proposed in the Methodological Guide for Urban Analysis. The purpose of the research project is to show the history of Luna Park through the recovery of the urban memory and to serve as a basis for future studies in the city.
