Resumen
This thesis aims to determine the influence of the Sika ViscoCrete®-2020 additive on the mechanical properties of a traditional concrete with a strength of 21 MPa, to propose alternatives to improve the durability of structures. Specific objectives were proposed to carry out a comparative analysis of the compression strength, water absorption and workability of the concrete with and without the additive. The research arises as a response to the frequent problems in construction members made of reinforced concrete in adverse environments, to reduce premature deterioration due to exposure to chlorides and alkali-silica reaction. Therefore, this additive is proposed to improve the durability of structures.
