Evaluación de la Ejecución de los Proyectos Constructivos de Ingenieros Militares desarrollados en el Departamento de Nariño

Abstract

The development of this research sought to address the problem evidenced in relation to the lack of evaluation mechanisms in public investment projects, taking as a case study the two projects developed by the Military Engineers in the Department of Nariño; In this sense, the general objective was "to evaluate the management of the execution of the construction projects developed by the Military Engineers in the Department of Nariño", using a qualitative evaluation as a method, through the analysis of six criteria: relevance, compliance of objective vs scope, efficacy, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability. Due to the above, the first result was that, although the two projects were able to materialize, management failures were evidenced that reduce the effectiveness in relation to compliance with the scope and mitigation of risks, allowing to establish in the discussion that, this type of failure they occur in both public and private institutions, due to the lack of implementation of good practice guides for project management, such as that of the Project Management Institute.
