The present final work evaluates eight different approaches (E1 to E8) allowed by the structural software SAP2000 for the modeling of the elastic structural behavior of the composite section beam B3 identified in the case study by Souici et al. (2013). From each of the eight models, structural responses are obtained for different loads (40 kN, 60 kN, 80 kN and 100 kN), such as deflections in the center of the span and maximum stresses in the steel beam and in the concrete slab, which are subsequently validated with the experimental data of the case study in question. Finally, it is concluded that approach 7 of SAP2000 (E7), despite being a partially composite model, generates elastic structural responses corresponding to deflections in the center of the span (δcl) and maximum stresses in the steel beam (σmáx acero) closest to the experimental data from the case study by Souici et al. (2013) for the composite beam B3, by estimating the longitudinal stiffness of the beam (Kv) proposed in this work, better representing the structural behavior of composite section beams. | |
