Boletín 7: Publish or perish

Abstract

In edition #6 we explained how to create a profile in Google Scholar. This time we will explain how to take advantage of the Publish or perish tool to gather academic citations and calculate metrics with data extracted from Google scholar. This application generates three main types of searches: Author impact. references of an author with their citations, Journal impact. citations of a journal, General citation. Search for specific references and their citations. It generates lists of references, which link to Google Scholar results pages and can be checked and unchecked according to the search, and allows sorting by different criteria.
