There is a series of resources and capabilities of businesses that determine their growth and unemployment. Among these, access to the financial market, the level of digitization and the formality of the business have stood out. This paper studies the income differential in microbusinesses differentiating for each of these aspects in order to quantify the factors that explain said difference. Using information from a group of micro-businesses that are part of the WWB Colombia Foundation programs during the Reactivate Plan and Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition methods, it is evident that formal micro-businesses with high levels of financial inclusion have, on average, higher incomes than their counterparts. peers. An analysis with a gender approach shows that micro-businesses owned by men have a high level of digital skills, which improves their unemployment. These results are corroborated from qualitative work in the field that shows that microentrepreneurs perceive informal credit as more attractive than bank credit, arguing ease of granting and flexibility of payments.
