Abstract

El oibjetivo de este trabajo de investigación es el escenario educativo, la computadora es el instrumento más novedoso que forma parte del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Con la introducción de la computadora como mediador didáctico, se desarrolló un software específico para ser utilizado en la interacción alumno-maestro-conocimiento. El software educativo es un programa informático que tiene recursos que fueron diseñados con la intención y el propósito de ser utilizados en un contexto de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Las principales características que distinguen a un software educativo es su desarrollo basado en una teoría del aprendizaje y la capacidad del alumno para construir de forma autónoma conocimientos sobre una determinada materia. El uso de Software Educativo ha despertado en los educadores cuestiones relacionadas con su calidad y con ello un interés creciente por saber evaluarlos. Con este capítulo tendremos una visión general de lo que es evaluar Software Educativo, presentando los criterios utilizados por algunos estudiosos del área con el fin de brindar formas para que el educador elija de manera más consciente el software a adquirir. Entre las diversas herramientas que ayudan a los educados en el proceso de aprendizaje, la computadora es un gran aliado. La computadora, que representa las diversas herramientas informáticas y software educativo utilizados en la educación, se está convirtiendo cada vez más en un amplificador de potencial en la formación y mejora de los estudiantes y las propias instituciones educativas.

The objective of this research work is the educational setting, the computer is the most innovative instrument that is part of the teaching-learning process. With the introduction of the computer as a didactic mediator, a specific software was developed to be used in the student-teacher-knowledge interaction. Educational software is a computer program that has resources that were designed with the intention and purpose of being used in a teaching-learning context. The main characteristics that distinguish educational software is its development based on a learning theory and the student's ability to autonomously build knowledge on a given subject. The use of Educational Software has awakened in educators questions related to its quality and with it a growing interest in knowing how to evaluate them. With this chapter we will have an overview of what it is to evaluate Educational Software, presenting the criteria used by some scholars in the area in order to provide ways for the educator to choose the software to acquire more consciously. Among the various tools that help the educated in the learning process, the computer is a great ally. The computer, which represents the various computer tools and educational software used in education, is increasingly becoming an amplifier of potential in the training and improvement of students and educational institutions themselves.
