Diagnóstico de anquiloglosia en el recién nacido mediante el Test de Martinelli

Abstract

La anquiloglosia es caracterizada por la fijación de la lengua al piso de la boca donde se limita la movilidad y trae como consecuencias dificultades en la lactancia, habla y en algunos casos maloclusión, el objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar cuál es la prevalencia de anquiloglosia en recién nacidos del Hospital Matilde Hidalgo de Procel del periodo agosto a octubre del año 2022, para la realización de esta investigación los datos se obtuvieron en base a información recopilada mediante el test de Martinelli donde incluye la historia clínica, se cuenta con una población de 29 recién nacidos que se les realizó el test de Martinelli para diagnosticar la anquiloglosia donde se obtuvo el resultado de las cuales el 59% presentaron anquiloglosia donde 65% fueron masculinos y el 35% femeninos, en cuanto a los recién nacidos con anquiloglosia, el 47% determinaron tener antecedentes familiares con alteración del frenillo lingual y el 53% refirieron que no.Se concluyó que mediante el test de Martinelli la prevalencia de anquiloglosia da como resultado que el género con mayor prevalencia es el masculino con un 65% , afirmando la hipótesis propuesta.

Ankyloglossia is characterized by the fixation of the tongue to the floor of the mouth where mobility is limited and results in difficulties in breastfeeding, speech and in some cases malocclusion, the objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of ankyloglossia in newborns from the Hospital Matilde Hidalgo de Procel from the period August to October of the year 2022, to carry out this research the data was obtained based on information collected through the Martinelli test which includes the clinical history, there is a population of 29 newborns who underwent the Martinelli test to diagnose ankyloglossia where the result was obtained of which 59% presented ankyloglossia where 65% were male and 35% female, in terms of newborns with ankyloglossia, 47% determined to have a family history of lingual frenulum alteration and 53% said they did not. It was concluded that through the Martinelli test the prevalence of ankyloglossia results in the gender with the highest prevalence being male with 65%, affirming the proposed hypothesis.
