Students with specific educational needs (SEN), who have an IQ below the average, learn
differently from other students, and often tend to lose the thread of the class, to deal with this
situation, the authors of this work set the objective of structuring a support guide for the
learning of mathematics, for students with grade 3 SEN. One of the reasons for this approach
was to know the frustrations felt by students with SEN when they get lost in the development
of their classes, and not only them, but also some regular students. A survey was applied as
a research method for data collection, which was aimed at teachers in the area of mathematics
from several educational institutions, in order to know their experiences with SEN students in
the course of their academic work and their perception about the implementation a support
guide in mathematics classes. In the tabulation and analysis of the results, some coincidences
were evident in the respondents ́ responses, such as the types of SEN with which they have
dealt and the favorable acceptance of this support material. The guide contains seven classes,
of which six are from block 1 of the second year of baccalaureate and one from block 2, these
are developed from modified dexterity’s, mainly aimed at students with learning disabilities.
