Resumen
Cervical Cancer is a public health problem, ranking fourth in incidence, despite the fact that there are free screening programs by the Ministry of Public Health. The general objective of the research is to determine the access barriers for the early detection of Cervical Cancer in women aged 25 to 64 who attend the Ricaurte Cuenca Health Subcenter 2022-2023. It is a descriptive, quantitative cross-sectional study. We worked with a universe of 154 women. Data were obtained using the BACACE questionnaire. This questionnaire has a Cronbach's alpha of 0.71. The analysis was carried out in the IBM SPSS-28 program, they were transcribed and analyzed. The results were presented by percentages and frequencies and expressed in tables. The results were; Sociodemographic characteristics: age 35-45 years, 46.1% married marital status, 70.1% housewife occupation, 39.6% completed high school, 57.1% urban origin. Regarding the barriers: there was no barrier in the three dimensions; 53% of knowledge with a score greater than 37, 61.7% in culture with a score between 0-33 and 79% of access to health services with a score of 15 or less. In conclusion, the access barriers for the early detection of cervical cancer did not exist in the three dimensions: knowledge, culture and access to health services.
