Resumen
This study aimed to evaluate a biocatalyst derived from soil samples collected on the field. The study was evaluated in coffee plants (Coffea arábica) in the garden center of ATASIM foundation, located in San Isidro civil parish, Morona canton, Morona Santiago province. The biocatalyst was developed starting from the analysis of four different rizosphere samples. After analyzing various parameters, it was selected the best sample to be developed. The biocatalyst was evaluated regarding the development of the stem and roots length, numbers of leaves; it was realized for a month at intervals of one week. The results of the Tukey and Duncan tests showed significant statistical differences between the observer and some of the used doses, especially the one of 10 cm3 as regard to the root length and numbers of leaves and the one of 5 cm3 of the stem length. In conclusion, the biocatalyst used has an impact on the development of the coffee seedlings in the garden center in used doses, so that it is recommended to continue testing different doses, to obtain a better result and to be used by the producers.
