Resumen
This present investigation aimed to evaluate the optimum dose of nitrogen in the cultivation of chocho (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet) variety INIAP-450 Andean in the community of Puculpala. When the crop was at physiological maturity, all the plants were harvested, including the pods with the grain, from each net plot, then threshing was done to obtain the dry grain, the grain yield per net plot was weighed in kilograms on a weighing scale to be estimated in kilograms per hectare later, for the total nitrogen, soil and plant samples were taken, for total organic carbon, soil and plant samples were taken and the easily oxidizable organic matter content of the soil was determined using the Walkley and Black method, and the nitrate and ammonium content present in the soil before and after the trial was also determined. It was obtained as a result that the yield of the chocho crop in tons per hectare increased by 90%, from 0 kilograms per hectare with a yield of 1.41 tons, to the treatment of 60 kilograms per hectare with a yield of 2.68 tons. It was the highest yield, that means, by increasing the doses of fertilization from 0 to 60 kilograms of nitrogen better yields in the chocho crop were gotten. It is concluded that nitrogen fertilization shows a positive net benefit, increasing to 114% from the 0 kilogram to the 60 kilogram treatment. It is recommended to apply 60 kilograms per hectare of nitrogen in the chocho crop.
