Resumen
The purpose of the present investigation is the design of a treatment system for the waters coming from the enameling/glazing area of the flooring plant of the Ecuacerámica company for its reuse. In the process, the experimental method was used to carry out the present study. The chosen technique was sampling, two samples M1 (raw water from the well) and M2 (residual water after the process) were taken, the samples taken were subjected to a characterization analysis based on the Standard Methods and the Hach Process Manual, using gravimetric, volumetric, and instrumental techniques. Following, treatability tests were carried out to condition the residual water to that of similar parameters as the raw water from the well, the aspects treated: turbidity, suspended solids, settleable solids, chlorides, sulfates, Chemical Oxygen Demand, calcium and magnesium, by adding a EXRO 614 coagulant (4800 ppm) and EXRO 663 flocculant (1.12 ppm). The removal factors of the parameters are in a range of 90-100%, which indicates the effectiveness of the treatability tests. The treatment carried out was validated through industrial tests where it was determined that the treated wastewater does not interfere with the rheology of a glaze, nor does it present defects in the finished product. With the data obtained from consumption, a system was designed to treat the residual water that will consist of the screening area, reception tank, flocculator, and a drying bed where the solids that will also be reused in the enameling process will be deposited.
