Resumen
The purpose of this degree project entitled “PREVENTIVE MANAGEMENT OF ERGONOMIC RISKS BY APPLYING THE GINSHT AND RAPID OFFICE STRAIN ASSESSMENT (ROSA) METHODS IN THE WAREHOUSE AND ASSETS CONTROL TECHNICAL UNIT OF THE CARLOS ANDRADE MARÍN SPECIALITIES HOSPITAL” was to prevent various musculoskeletal disorders in the work stations of both the operative area (stevedores) and the administrative area (office workers and storekeepers). For the development, the Nordic Kuorinka questionnaire was initially applied, with the aim of identifying the existence of musculoskeletal symptoms, then, with the tabulation of results, important conclusions were obtained regarding the areas of work that present the greatest number of cases with musculoskeletal disorders, for example, the general area of warehouses, the medical device warehouse and the drug warehouse. The activities in the above-mentioned areas were evaluated using the Ginsht method, which relate musculoskeletal disorders (MD) to the manual handling of loads, where an INTOLERABLE risk was obtained in the 4 activities analyzed. On the other hand, the administrative area was evaluated using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (Rosa) method, which is quite suitable for evaluating office workplaces, obtaining as a result 62.5% of people with a very high risk and 37.5% with a high risk. Based on the results obtained, preventive and corrective measures were proposed, such as implementing a programme of active breaks in order to reduce work-related stress and prevent the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders (MD), and providing adequate work clothes and personal protective equipment for the operating personnnel in order to mitigate the ergonomic risks found. It is recommended to extend the research to the other warehouses, in order to better understand the ergonomic situation throughout the unit.
