Resumen
The aim of the research was to evaluate the sensitivity of Spirogyra spp. in the laboratory to be used as a bioindicator of the following pesticides: Diazinon, Lambda Cyhalotrina and Spinosad. For this, an experimental study was carried out as well as the algae sample collection in Alacao neighborhood belonging to Guano county and the identification of the species by means of a microscopic observation and comparison with the image of the field guide. For the selection of the pesticides, a survey for the farmers of the area was applied and the algae cropping was carried out in experimental units in which the nutrients were added for their adaptation, growth and reproduction. Once the algae were adapted, sensitivity tests were applied by adding pesticides at different concentrations during 72 hours resulting in physical changes. On the other hand, changes in color, shape, size and consistency of the organisms were analyzed. In the final stage, the bioaccumulation of pesticides in the algae was determined and the results were verified in the LASA laboratory. Subsequently, water treatment, spike and statistical analysis were carried out. As a result, it was determined that Spirogyra spp. can be used as a bioindicator of water contamination by pesticides due to the changes observed in the morphology of the species related to color, shape and size of the species after the addition of pesticides. It is concluded that Spirogyra spp. can be used as a bioindicator of the presence of Diazinon, Lambda Cyhalothrin and Spinosad pesticides. In addition, the presence of Spirogyra spp. bioaccumulation was determined and its bioaccumulation index was less than 10 ug/Kg for Diazinon and 534.05 mg/Kg for Lambda Cyhalothrin in its biomass. It is recommended to use algae as a bioindicator in irrigation water reservoirs for Alacao neighborhood belonging to Guano county.
