Resumen
In a student residence that reported unusual consumptions and continuous failures, a technical project was proposed to help to supervise the use of potable water applicable to the residence in particular. Using the heuristic method, steps were established to determine the development of the prototype; a bibliographic review of the state of the art, requirements were established, and the design of a prototype and the choice of its hardware and software. It was implemented a system for monitoring and alerting the consumption and leaks of drinking water in a residence university. The system constantly monitors the pressure level in the pipeline and the amount of liters consumed daily by a subscriber. In case of behaviors unwanted such as excess pressure or excessive consumption, the administrator of the building using Telegram instant messaging and interrupts the flow input. It allows visualize the network information through graphics on the Thing speak platform; for the purpose of Identify unusual consumption patterns, and network problems. Provides visualization of consumption to the user through a liquid crystal display. The system was built with the Node ESP8266 boards, Arduino Nano, HK3022 and YF-S201 sensors. The system detected unusual behaviors in the project application residence, allowing owners through these results take corrective actions. It is recommended to carry out a phase of data mining with the .csv files generated by the project.
