Resumen
This article aims to implement Distributed Generation (DG), with the main objective of reducing power losses, thus improving the voltage profile by establishing the optimal location and sizing of photovoltaic generation plants, for the implementation of this study was chosen to use a heuristic optimization method called Genetic Algorithm (GA), the mentioned study was applied in a Distribution System (DS) of 33 bars standardized by the IEEE, so that at no point in the system the loadability of the conductors is exceeded, to test the efficiency of this method had to be analyzed in 2 case studies, one without DG and the other introducing DG, taking into account the following factors: the population for the system, the selection of the individuals, the number of chromosomes, the mutation of those individuals and finally its stopping criterion demonstrating that the algorithm converges with an optimal solution, the same that counts with power and voltage restrictions in order to restrict the performance of the algorithm. This method is more efficient compared to optimization methods such as particle sampling because the GA can select the population and the number of iterations for an optimal solution.
