| dc.description | The term “dystopia of evolution” which the present article proposes qualifies an actual aspect of Latin American dystopic narrative, especially Chilean and Argentinian, in relation with an anti-Darwinist vision of human civilization. This trend is analyzed in two Chilean novels: El asombro (2013) by Juan Mihovilovich and Acerca de Suárez (2016) by Francisco Ovando, as well as the Argentinian novel: Los restos (2014) by Betina Keizman. In these works, the presence of a chronotope of the catastrophe allows to discern the different manifestations that the motive of involution takes. Finally, the article concludes on the meaning and interest of this peculiar form of Latin American dystopia and the problematic developed, in the corpus of analysis, around the environment, which allows to consider these novels under the notion of ecotopia. | en-US |
| dc.description | El término de “distopía de la evolución” que propone el presente artículo califica una vertiente actual de la narrativa distópica latinoamericana, específicamente chilena y argentina, en relación con una visión anti-darwinista de la civilización humana. Esta tendencia se analiza en dos novelas chilenas: El asombro (2013) de Juan Mihovilovich y Acerca de Suárez (2016) de Francisco Ovando, así como en una novela argentina: Los restos (2014) de Betina Keizman. En estas obras, un cronotopo de la catástrofe permite discernir las diferentes manifestaciones que adopta el motivo de la involución. Finalmente, el artículo concluye sobre el sentido e interés de esta peculiar forma de distopía latinoamericana y la problemática desarrollada, en el corpus de análisis, en torno al medio ambiente, lo cual permite considerar las novelas bajo la noción de ecotopía. | es-ES |
