Se realizó un estudio cuyo objetivo es determinar la capacidad admisible del suelo del Sector La Base II, Cajamarca, por los métodos de Terzaghi y Meyerhof, para el desarrollo de esta investigación se extrajeron muestras de 10 calicatas, a una profundidad de 3.00 metros, los ensayos realizados son: densidad de campo, contenido de humedad, Análisis granulométrico por tamizado, límites de consistencia, clasificación de suelos (SUCS), peso específico, cuyos datos nos permitieron el Cálculo de la capacidad admisible del terreno, por los métodos de Terzaghi y Meyerhof , el ángulo de fricción interna y la cohesión del suelo fueron obtenidos de las tablas de los Parámetros del suelo de los ingenieros: José María Rodríguez Ortiz, Jesús Serra Gesta, y Peter Wilhelm Vicke, Se realizó la comparación de las capacidades admisibles cuyos resultados por el método de Terzaghi varía entre 5.24 y 5.87 kg/cm2, para un suelo CL, 5.56 kg/cm2, para un suelo MH, 5.38 y 5.39 kg/cm2, para un suelo CH, Y 5.20 kg/cm2, para un suelo ML. la capacidad admisible por el método de Meyerhof varía entre 6.28 y 8.00 kg/cm2, para un suelo CL, 6.38 kg/cm2, para un suelo MH, 7.71 y 7.72 kg/cm2, para un suelo CH, Y 6.00 kg/cm2, para un suelo ML. Se concluye que el método de Terzaghi brinda valores más conservadores, respecto de Meyerhof, con lo cual se valida la hipótesis ya que supera ampliamente en todas las capacidades admisibles de las calicatas.
