Resumen
Workers who use Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in their work activities are exposed to work and psychosocial conditions that can cause Techno-stress. The present dissertation, structured in two empirical articles of observational, transversal and analytical design, intended to evaluate or Techno-stress in Workers who use it as ICT in their work activities. The non-probabilistic sample registered 213 workers. Article I, “Calls and work resources as promoters of Techno-stress in workers who use it as information and communication technologies (ICTs)”, aims to identify the predictive role of demands and work resources for Techno-stress and their own personalities. The research instruments of a questionnaire of sociodemographic and labor data, a Techno-stress scale (RED / ICT) and a scale of ICT demands / resources were used. The results, selected by means of tracked linear regression, point to predefined models composed of the following variables: control, communication failures, overload, technological resources, learning expectations, monitoring and annoyances. Article II, “Testing indirect effects of personality factors on the relationship between Techno-stress and work overload”, aimed to investigate the indirect effects of personality variables between work overload and Techno-stress. The survey instruments used were a questionnaire of socio-demographic and labor data, a Techno-stress scale (RED / ICT), a scale of ICT demands / resources and reduced markers for personality assessment. The result obtained through path analysis identified that the extraversion extension had an indirect effect on the relationship between work overload and Techno-stress. The study requires the participation of members of its employees, an end to subsidiary worker health policies.
