Implementación de un módulo de titulación en una plataforma web del tipo Smart University para la Carrera de Ingeniería en Teleinformática/Telemática de la Universidad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio cuyo propósito fue determinar que al implementar un módulo de titulación para la carrera de Ingeniería en Teleinformática/Telemática mejora la gestión del proceso con la automatización y formalización del mismo. La investigación empleada es aplicada porque propone una innovación o solución tecnológica y el diseño es explicativo porque se encontró bastante información a nivel local, nacional e internacional sobre páginas web y módulos. Participaron 355 estudiantes de la carrera de Teleinformática y Telemática. Se emplea el instrumento cuantitativo para conocer el proceso actual de titulación realizando encuestas a los estudiantes, cuestionario a la gestora y entrevista a un tesista. Los resultados indicaron que es necesario formalizar y automatizar el proceso para evitar inconvenientes y ahorrar tiempo en la gestión. Por lo tanto, se concluye que con las respuestas obtenidas de los instrumentos utilizados el módulo beneficiará a los tesistas, tutores y gestora.

The purpose of this study was to determine that the implementation of a degree module for the Teleinformatics/Telematics Engineering career improves the management of the process by automating and formalizing it. The investigation used is applied because it proposes an innovation or technological solution and the design is explanatory because a lot of information was found at the local, national and international level on web pages and modules. 355 students from the Teleinformatics and Telematics career participated. The quantitative instrument is used to know the current qualification process by conducting student surveys, questionnaire to the manager and interviews a thesis student. The results indicated that it is necessary to formalize and automate the process to avoid inconveniences and save time in the management. Therefore, it is concluded that with the responses obtained from the instruments used, the module will benefit the thesis students, tutors and manager.
