Adhesión en odontopediatría

Abstract

Introducción: La presente investigación aporta de manera significativa en la práctica odontológica, ya que en el área de odontopediatría es importante conocer las diferentes técnicas de adhesión existentes para poder elegir la más idónea en la consulta, que nos facilite el manejo clínico del paciente y así, se mejoren las habilidades durante los procedimientos a realizar. Objetivo: Determinar la importancia del proceso de adhesión en odontopediatría. Metodología: El presente trabajo es de tipo cualitativo, bibliográfico, documental, descriptivo, retrospectivo, no experimental. Se apoya en fuentes que recopilan información científica y exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica. Se encontraron 60 artículos sobre el tema y 40 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Resultados: Los adhesivos autograbantes manifiestan una mayor efectividad en comparación con los adhesivos de grabado total y adhesivos universales, mediante la fuerza de adherencia sobre los diversos compuestos. El adhesivo autograbante de séptima generación Optibond AII-In-One, es el que mayor resistencia adhesiva tiene. Conclusiones: Se logra clasificar los sistemas adhesivos de dos maneras: la primera es según su evolución llegando desde la primera hasta la séptima generación, y la segunda, según el tipo de técnica a usar, que son los sistemas adhesivos de grabado y lavado y, los sistemas autograbantes. Dentro de los fracasos que se pueden provocar durante la adhesión están: aislamiento incorrecto, acondicionamiento dentinarioprolongado, secado progresivo de la dentina, secado excesivo e inmediato del primer, fallo de la unión adhesiva, insuficiente evaporación del solvente, formación incompleta de la capa híbrida.Introduction: The present research contributes significantly to the practice of dentistry, since in the area of pediatric dentistry it is important to know the different existing adhesion techniques in order to choose the most suitable one in the practice, which facilitates the clinical management of the patient and thus, improves the skills during the procedures to be performed. Objective: To determine the importance of the adhesion process in pediatric dentistry. Methodology: The present work is qualitative, bibliographic, documentary, descriptive, retrospective and non-experimental. It is supported by sources that gather scientific information and exhaustive bibliographic review. We found 60 articles on the subject and 42 met the inclusion criteria. Results: Self-etching adhesives show greater effectiveness compared to total etching and universal adhesives, through the strength of adhesion on the various compounds. The Optibond AII-In-One seventh generation self-etching adhesive has the highest adhesive strength. Conclusions: It is possible to classify the adhesive systems in two ways: the first one is according to its evolution arriving from the first to the seventh generation, and the second one, according to the type of technique to use, which are the adhesive systems of engraving and washing and, the self-etching systems. Among the failures that can be caused during the adhesion are: incorrect isolation, prolonged dentine conditioning, progressive drying of the dentine, excessive and immediate drying of the primer, failure of the adhesive bond, insufficient evaporation of the solvent, incomplete formation of the hybrid layer.
