The purpose of this work of degree is to propose a model of primary care in
the emergency area for a health center of Guayaquil, making use of the international
models of classification of patients (triage), which indicate that it is essential for the
units of hospital emergencies grant a quality medical assistance, safe and efficient,
focused on a better understanding of the types of patients who are served daily.
For this, there will be a comparative analysis of each system of triage
existing on the emergency area, selecting the suitable for its implementation
through the development of a system of turnero and classification of patients, which
permit issue statistical reports that indicate the indexes of patients lost without being
seen by the physician, the wait times since the arrival of the patient to the emergency
room to receive attention on the part of the physician in this way may control of
compliance with the international standards of triage.
Use these systems of triage will allow the areas of emergency improve its
performance index of the quality of the attention given to the patient through the
control and management of the health care resources, incurring minimum expenses
such as the adaptation of screens for viewing the shifts assigned based on the degree
of urgency of the patients.
