Tecnica de impresión dental con alginato en protesis parcial metalica removible.

Abstract

La impresión en prótesis parcial removible se define como la reproducción negativa de una arcada parcialmente edéntula o alguna sección de ella, con la finalidad de construir una prótesis parcial removible. La finalidad principal de las impresiones es obtener los modelos del paciente en yeso, los cuales siendo una reproducción en positivo y en detalles de los tejidos bucales, nos permiten proyectar y ejecutar los futuros trabajos protésicos. Existen algunas técnicas y diversos materiales para la toma de impresiones en desdentados parciales, pero consideramos que si se sigue un buen procedimiento y se observan las instrucciones correctas, las impresiones con hidrocoloides irreversibles (alginatos), garantizan la precisión y el éxito de un aparato parcial removible. El objetivo principal de este estudio fue demostrar que con la utilización del alginato se puede tomar una buena impresión para la confección de una prótesis parcial removible. Por tal motivo se ha procedido a realizar la toma de impresión con alginato para una protesis parcial removible, concluyendo que todos los detalles anatómicos fueron copiados con exactitud y que al momento de colocar el aparato protésico en boca del paciente este ajusto de manera precisa y armónica devolviéndole al mismo su función masticatoria y estética al momento de sonreír.
