Resumen
There are no specific guidelines that can be used when designing Web applications for people with Down syndrome. Nor is it defined what guidelines may have a negative or positive impact on this user profile. For this research two studies were carried out: an approximation to the needs of the users through surveys and technical test that verify the survey’s results. The conclusion of test results is related to the functioning of the brain and body of people with Down syndrome, answering to: (1) the iconicity and the abstraction in the language. (2) to the movements with the mouse. (3) the level of reading or writing. (4) multimedia playback methods. (5) appropriate decibels for the reproduction of audios. (6) temporal elements. (7) the motivational factors related to color and texture.
