dc.description | Our Technology Partner Fraunhofer Igb Has Developed the Awg-technology Over the Course Of Several Years. Their Goal Was To Develop a System That Operates Independently By Using Just Air And Heat From a Renewable Energy Source. The Uniqueness Of the Technology is Based On the Combination Of Adsorption With a Salt-based Fluid And Desorption By Means Of a Vacuum Vaporization. It is Designed To Produce Fresh Water Only With Renewable Energy And Without Co2 Emissions. The Special Design Allows It To Be Completely Self-sufficient. These Features Allow the Awg's To Be Installed Especially In Remote Areas Where Water is Scarce (such As the Atacama Desert Or Other Arid Areas Around the World) And Transportation From Coastal Areas By Means Of Pipelines Or Trucks is Expensive. There Are Several Other Approaches To Extract Water From Air Such As Dehumidifiers Nets To Capture Fog Or Use Of Mof (metal Organic Frameworks) Which Are Designed For Small Scale Production (6m³/day). To Implement Solutions For Industrial Size Production (30. 000 M³/day) New And Economically Feasible Approaches Are Needed. Samag Therefore Developed the Investment Project Based On a Non-binding Agreement With a Large Chilean Mining Company (name And Agreement Protected Under Non-disclosure). Samag Has the Opportunity To Supply Mines In the Northern District Of Calama With Approx. 400 L/second Of Fresh Water From the Awg Technology By 2021. To Fulfill the Required Volumes Project With An Estimated Amount Of 7. 000 Awg's is Needed (investment Project). In Order To Realize This the Plan is To Develop a Production Facility For Awg's In Chile. Fraunhofer Igb Owns All Intellectual Property For the Technology. No Patents Are Filed At the Moment Because Of Cost And Secrecy. Samag And Fraunhofer Igb Have a Cooperation Agreement Where Samag is Confirmed As Exclusive Industrial Partner. | |
