dc.descriptionEveryone seems to agree on two issues, namely: the importance of informed consent for medical practice and the justification of informed consent, i.e., autonomy. This work attempts to challenge both assumptions, showing that theory just doesn’t square the real world. So sure, informed consent is a requisite of medical practice, but with a Little realism.en-US
dc.descriptionParece existir acuerdo sobre dos cosas, la importancia del consentimiento informado para la práctica médica y su justificación: la autonomía del paciente. Este trabajo intenta desafiar ambas asunciones, mostrando que la teoría no termina de adecuarse a la práctica y que, cuando se considera esto, se puede seguir insistiendo acerca de la necesidad de consentimiento informado, pero con realismo.es-ES
