Resumen
The research presented here results from an academic production investigation (thesis and dissertations) in Environmental Education (EA) produced in Postgraduate Programs (PPG) in Law in Brazil, using the Environmental Education database in Brazil project: analysis of the academic production', also called project EARTE (State of the Art of Research in Environmental Education). When studying the research produced in PPG in Law that has worked the environmental theme, we can not forget the context in which they were produced. Hence our intention to investigate and characterize the context of this research production, focusing the analysis related to the objectives, theoretical and methodological references, bibliographic references and environmental legislation used by the researchers.
