Resumen
The paper aims to present an analysis of Sortes de Villamor (2010) by Nilma Lacerda through the theoretical assumptions of Reception Theory (JAUSS, 1994; ISER, 1996 e 1999), considering the theme of identity construction and the provisions of the implicit reader. This is justified once the book is part of the Programa Nacional Biblioteca na Escola (National Program of School Library - PNBE). It is believed that most public schools have it in their Salas de Leitura (Reading Rooms) and / or libraries. The hypothesis constructed in this text is that the theme of Sortes de Villamor, associated with the ideological affirmation of its protagonists, is attractive for the young readers who arc also in the phase of defining their identity.
