Heróis efêmeros: uma análise de Inferno Provisório de Luiz Ruffato

Abstract

O nosso trabalho visa investigar as peculiaridades literárias que fazem da obra Inferno Provisório (2016), de Luiz Ruffato, um romance que busca problematizar os diversos sujeitos sociais que compõem e caracterizam a estrutura social brasileira em processo de modernização. Luiz Ruffato destaca em sua obra aspectos de uma realidade social profunda, figurando trabalhadores menores e mal remunerados, malandros, sujeitos à margem do sistema capitalista ou excluídos sociais, contudo por meio de uma linguagem fragmentária. Diante disso, a partir de sociólogos como José da Silva Martins, Florestan Fernandes, Antonio Candido, compreende-se como essas questões estabelecem-se na relação indivíduo/sociedade dentro do microcosmo de Inferno provisório (2016), para, a partir da análise das personagens, investigar como a obra concebe, por meio da literatura, o processo de modernização nacional, sobretudo a partir da imagem da cidade e de suas transformações. Para tanto, a fragmentação é articulada pelo movimento de permanência e ruptura, linha de leitura pela qual perceberemos não só os elos entre os capítulos, na formação do romance, mas também na composição temática, visto que o passado, tanto histórico como pessoal, assemelhado a uma onda, quebra no presente das personagens, determinando as suas ações. Logo, compreendemos Inferno Provisório (2016) como uma obra híbrida, entre o romance social e o histórico, chamada pelo próprio autor de catálogo de histórias, na qual são construídas personagens tipos, como apresentações próprias, em um plano temático, de um Brasil em modernização, ao mesmo tempo em que articula estruturalmente um movimento característico da construção da história brasileira: a incorporação das antigas estruturas discursivas, políticas e econômicas, às novas tendências impostas pelo capitalismo mundial.

Our study aims to investigate the literary peculiarities that make the literary work Inferno Provisório (2016), by Luiz Ruffato, a novel that seeks to represent fictionally the diverse social subjects that compose and characterize the Brazilian social structure in the process of modernization (1950-2003). According to Karl Eric Shøllhamer (2010), Luiz Ruffato gives continuity to realism, therefore, in his works he represents aspects of a deep social reality, re - elaborating them fictionally, giving rise to the figuration of smaller and underpaid workers, rascals, subjects outside the capitalist system or socially excluded, through fragmentary language. Therefore, from sociologists, such as José da Silva Martins, Florestan Fernandes, Antonio Candido, we understand how these issues are established in the individual/society relationship within the microcosm of Inferno Provisório (2016), in order to investigate, from the analysis of the characters, how the work represents the national modernization process, especially from the image of the city and its transformations. For this purpose, fragmentation is articulated by the movement of permanence and rupture, a line of reading through which we will perceive not only the links between the chapters in the formation of the novel, but also in the thematic composition, since the past, both historical and personal, which resembles a wave, breaks in the present of the characters, determining their actions. Therefore, Ruffato promotes a hybrid work, between the social and the historical novel, in which stereotyped characters, typical of a modernizing Brazil, are presented, while he structurally articulates a movement characteristic of the construction of Brazilian history: the incorporation of the old political and social structures to the new trends imposed by world capitalism.
