The investigation was aimed at. To understand the meanings that teachers and students have about pedagogy in the DegreeProgram in Physical Education, Recreation and Sport of the University of Córdoba. As for materials and methods. thepopulation was made up of professors and students linked to the Department of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Educationand Human Sciences of the University of Córdoba, in the period between 2016 and 2018. It was supported by a qualitativeresearch approach and a design ethnographic methodological. To collect the information, the in-depth interview anddocumentary analysis were used; the analysis was performed with the coding and categorization techniques. The results.They show that pedagogy is conceived as a technology at the service of the teacher; a knowledge at the service of Education;a collective construction at the service of the community and a knowledge that breaks the walls of the school. Within theconclusions. It can be inferred that pedagogy is subsumed by didactics and for its interpretation, there is weak theoreticalsupport. The desire to construct an innovative discourse is perceived in a part of the educational community, however, theuse of concepts related to their previous schemes, tend to generate confusion or contradict it.La investigación tuvo como objetivo comprender los sentidos que profesores y estudiantes tenían sobre la pedagogía enel Programa de Licenciatura en Educación Física, Recreación y Deporte de la Universidad de Córdoba. En cuanto amateriales y métodos. la población estuvo constituida por profesores y estudiantes vinculados al Departamento de CulturaFísica de la Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Humanas de la Universidad de Córdoba, en el periodo comprendido entre elaño 2016 y 2018. Para larecolección de la Información, se utilizaron la entrevista a profundidad y el análisis documental; el análisis se realizó conlas técnicas de la codificación y la categorización. Los resultados. Muestran que la pedagogía es concebida como unatecnología al servicio del maestro; un saber al servicio de la Educación; una construcción colectiva al servicio de lacomunidad y un saber que rompe los muros de la escuela. Dentro de las conclusiones. Se puede inferir que la pedagogía essubsumida por la didáctica y para su interpretación, existe un débil apoyo teórico. Se percibe en una parte de la comunidadeducativa el deseo de construir un discurso innovador, sin embargo, el uso de conceptos relacionados con sus esquemasprevios, tienden a generar confusión o contradecirlo.
