Resumen
This monography studies various power system state estimation techniques, in order to establish a starting point for tests and for algorythm development on computer softwares. The general objectives of state estimation are listed, and their applications and advantages are presented. The monography makes a demonstration of the non-linear weighted least squares method, starting from a simple example system, and shows the basic equations of the method. It contemplates the use of phasor mea-surement units on the non-linear state estimation, and presents a particular method for dealing with this kind of measurements, showing in detail its equations. The mo-nography presents the developed software defining the charactheristics and singular-ities of each tested power system, the functions performed by the software and its operation mode. Finally, it shows the results of all the performed tests and presents conclusion over each of them.
