Sports academies have achieved a status of great importance on the world stage in recent years as they have a market of over 162 million customers, turning over a capital of over $ 83 billion a year worldwide. In Brazil, the sports academies have more than 9.6 million clients, raising more than 2.6 billion dollars a year; More than 480 sports academies are located in Curitiba. These gyms vary greatly in their structure, number of students, investment capacity, market insight, price and location. The objective of this work was to analyze the business management profile of the Curitiba and Metropolitan Region gyms, due to the great diversity that occurs, thus tracing the business management profile of the Curitiba and Metropolitan Region sports academies. In this work a quantitative descriptive research was carried out, composed by 20 managers of sports academies, who answered a questionnaire of 48 questions elaborated in the light of the main authors of the management area. The data from this study were analyzed using a statistical tool, which after a statistical analysis transformed the study results into statistical measures (percentages) in the form of graphs / tables, thus obtaining the desired information. The results showed that the great majority of managers have a degree in physical education and that bodybuilding is the most predominant modality in the gyms. Regarding the social factor, most gyms do not consider it in their management and with regard to financial management, the main objective is to maximize the satisfaction of their customers. Regarding marketing management the biggest highlight was the fact that most gyms are not involved with sponsorships. The study also showed that managers have a good technical knowledge in management aspects, however, the search for constant updating becomes of great value and should be constant among these professionals.
