Resumen
This paper presents the analysis of a bidirectional Cúk converter topology operating in the continuous conduction mode. The studied converter has three inductors, two capacitors and four switches, which operate in complementary mode. Its application is analyzed in connection with an RC load, in open loop and in closed loop. The bidirectional DC-DC Cúk converter with voltage doubler has the advantage of reducing the maximum voltage values in semiconductors, allowing the use of devices with lower losses. As a disadvantage, it increases the component count. The paper presents the theoretical analysis of the converter, containing the operation stages, the ideal waveforms, and the mathematical analysis to obtain the design equations. Additionally, models oriented to voltage and current control are presented. Numerical Simulation and experimental tests were conducted to demonstrate the operation of the converter. The converter is designed and built to operate with an input voltage in the direct mode of 250 V, with a 360 V output voltage, operating with a switching frequency of 100 kHz, and a 2 kW rated output power.
