Resumen
This research proposes to investigate what new skills teachers need to know for the use of the digital interactive whiteboard in foreign language classes. The interactive whiteboard is a system that is revolutionizing not only the process of teaching or language acquisition, but also it has transformed the process of teachers education. This artifact has demanded a new attitude from teachers towards education. Changes and learning are faces or sides of the same coin, and if there is one area that should be prioritized in education this is the communication, specifically the field of language and computer use. In this context, the hypothesis developed starts from the idea that technological artifacts, in this case the interactive whiteboard, has changed the process of teacher training and posture towards the technologycal education. To conclude, we present a theoretical literature-based study with conceptions from various theorists, in researches on teacher education and in the interactive whiteboard work from Schmid (2010), in recent researches on the use of the interactive whiteboard in the foreign language acquisition (LE) process as well.
