Resumen
This work elaborates a study of the theory, simulation and solution of some cases considering the use of active and passive analog filters, aiming to complement the study in the electronics area of the Electrical Engineering course of the Federal Technological University of Paraná, Cornélio Procópio Campus. In this paper, is presented the basic theory required to understand the subject, approaching concepts about transfer function, design methods (Butterworth, Chebyshev, Cauer and Bessel, or even empirical methods) and circuits for implementation from electronic circuits (RLC passive and KRC and biquad active circuits), until the filter design, encompassing the simulation using MATLAB® and Proteus® software and laboratory implementation. This paper considers the cases of an anti-aliasing low pass filter, a notch filter of 60 Hz and a bandpass filter to extract a sinusoid from a square wave. The analysis of the exemplified filters is based on the comparison between the different methods of design and implementation, considering realizations with theoretical and real values of the components used.
