Resumen
The right to accessibility and scope represent the social inclusion of people with some kind of physical disability. Consolidate this right and provide access to environments constructed improperly means the full exercise of citizenship for those in need. This coursework aims at designing the electrical part of a platform lift for linear movement of people on stairs with a speed up of what is available in the market. For that were studied existing plataforms and ABNT rules regarding accessibility. So having these platforms and standards as the basis, we determined the pieces chosen to constitute the project, such as: the frequency inverter, the brake motor, inductive sensor, infrared presence sensor and protections for the circuits. The sizing and specification of this system was determined from two studies. First, a survey determined the typical speed that people without physical disabilities need to climbing stairs. Then, a comparison was made to the speed of a vertical elevator. The result was a possible solution for the movement of people on stairs through a platform with a speed above those surveyed. So the intent of this coursework project besides acquire a new knowledge, was also to develop a study in order to enable future platforms to provide a fairer speed regarding the movement of disabled people on stairs.
