Reengenharia de uma planta piloto de café solúvel

Abstract

Coffee is the second most consumed beverage in Brazilian households, only lagging behind water, besides being one of the most exported Brazilian products worldwide. The present work aims to develop a restoration project of an old soluble coffee pilot plant, seeking to update and modernize its components, as well as provide versatility to operate with other products for academic use. As it is old equipment with lacking documentation available for consultation, it was necessary to carry out a technical data survey of the machine through research and observation, in order to gather a data collection of the equipment for later consultation. It was also necessary to perform components tests in order to evaluate their condition and then carry out the retrofit activities planning, with estimated completion date of November 2022.
