Resumen
The objective of this study is to analyze, a gender perspective, the perception of the Teachers elementary school a public school in Curitiba about their working conditions. The theme of this research discusses the perception of / the teachers on working conditions taking advantage of a gender perspective, studies of the sexual division of labor and research on teaching. The research adopted a qualitative approach, using as an instrument for data collection to semi-structured interview. Were made twenty interviews with teachers who worked in the classroom of elementary school to a public school in the city of Curitiba. As part of the results can be seen that there is precarious working conditions, such as a significant number of teachers with fixed-term contract, intensification of work in school and out of school overload, lack of adequate infrastructure for the development of activities teachers, among other issues. The perception of most / the teachers play a traditional sexual division of labor, in which women still assume the responsibility of housework and remain perceived as "natural mothers" look pretty associated with teaching.
