Raqs El Sharqi: a dança do ventre como arte

Abstract

The work consists on research and dissemination of belly dance as an form of art, on a photography resarch for the capture of the images and on the methodological research for the development of the graphic project for a photobook. It begins with historical research about the likely origin of belly dancing, discussing some theories on the subject.
