Abstract

This research seeks to study the concept of Casa de Apoio and its purpose, which are welcome and their companions during the health treatment performed for the city where such people reside. The Support House would now be a Host Center. This, would encompass not only online activities such as food, hygiene and shelter, but also works as psychological support for family members. The Little Prince Hospital was chosen because of its current home support capacity and mainly due to a time rate for the hospitalization of the child and the patient when the presence of the family nucleus during treatment. There are already programs in the hospital to encourage a presence of companions, however, many families of processes to be attended by SUS and not security conditions to stay in the capital. For this research the qualitative method was used to analyze how current support houses and quantitative data for the analysis of the user population of the house and its environments. It was found that there is a need for a Reception Center and that this would serve as an instrument for a greater good, which is an aid to the treatment of patients of the Little Prince.
