Resumen
This research aims to evaluate the transfer of technology as a process of disseminating knowledge and providing income generating employment and seeking to identify the processes of technology transfers tying Prahalad's theory to develop new business and markets, the so-called business inclusive. The new management paradigms focused business to new markets and enable sustainable socioeconomic development. It is intended to verify the operation of the transfer of technology, their innovation and results produced effect. Thus, a case study was taken from the furniture design of the City of Ponta Grossa, entitled "Casa Melhor". With the case study, it is possible to identify the processes of technology transfer by ensuring sustainable socioeconomic development and to identify the interest of each project participant furniture. The application and effectiveness of Prahalad's theory related to the creation of profitable businesses from the effective participation of the base of the pyramid, as consumers and entrepreneurs, is also confirmed. Also, this research demonstrates the results evaluated. The research has a qualitative and quantitative exploratory and descriptive case study, conducted through questionnaires and observations. The questionnaires were distributed to those involved in furniture design, representing the private sector, public sector and non-governmental bodies. We obtained results that reach well as to the overall goal of the research. The justification of the research lies in the importance and topicality that refers to the process of technology transfer and the need to develop more and better social equality for all. It points out that the transfer of technology linked to the theory of Prahalad are generating jobs and income, bringing suggestions for future work.
