Sensibilização para aplicação da ferramenta 5S em uma empresa do setor moveleiro

Abstract

The aim of this study was to sensitize the company Joinery Oliveira, the furniture industry, in the municipality of Cornelius, North of Paraná, for the implementation of 5S program while its activities management tool. Thus, a literature review on the 5S program and its relation to the total quality management was held. The methodology used was the simple case study, and the data collection used primary sources, such as personal interviews with the staff, with responsibility for the administrative sector and with other employees of the company, totaling 16 interviews. Pictures were taken, both inside and outside the company, to see the situation in which it was in before any action. The survey was conducted from March to November 2015 and the main results of the analysis showed that the company has many organizational problems that compromise the quality of the production process. The diagnosis made has identified what actions are necessary planned around the implementation of the 5S tool, with the company's interest in adopting it. It was concluded that in order to sensitize the company has been reached and that it intends to apply the concepts disseminated from 2016.
