Resumen
The consumption and production of craft beer has gained space in the Brazilian market. Aiming at the prospect of growth, entrepreneurs are choosing this activity to open their own business. The basic constitution of the craft beer is water, malt and hops. In microbreweries, the malt is usually purchased, as the process of germination of the grain involves great care and control, making the stage of malting unfeasible for small producers. Malting consists of an initial stage of washing and humidification of the grains, followed by an artificial germination stage, and is finished by a drying step. The objective of this work is to design a malting system that supra the microbrewery production of the Curitiba region. To do this, a demand survey and an analysis of existing equipment in the market will be made, comparing its structure and transmission systems, circulation and air conditioning, integrating the needs of the process into a single equipment, to obtain a conceptual design that allows the construction of a prototype.
