Resumen
This work had as its theme the construction of a mapping of Brazilian innovative schools, outlining the location, the categories, the levels of education, as well as the proposals that led them to be considered as innovative organizations. For this, a qualitative research approach was used, using some quantitative data. As instruments of data production, documentary bibliographic research was used, which made it possible to gather data, which until then were dispersed in the academic universe, and give them a scientific treatment. Reflecting on the context we can see that, although the innovation process has already started, we still have a long way to go. The “traditional” school is no longer pleasing, and there is an urgent need to transform it into a space that contributes to an ever-changing generation.
